ERPNext Implementation
Rolled out area by area, not all at once.
From process discovery through configuration and data migration to a controlled go-live. We shape the system around your workflows instead of forcing your workflows into the system.

- Entry point
- Setup Check
- Approach
- In phases, area by area
- Data migration
- Checked, not wholesale
- Go-live
- Controlled, supported
ERP rollouts rarely fail because of the software.
They fail because of unclear processes, poor data quality, an overloaded scope and a go-live attempted too early and too big.
The classic pattern: everything is switched over on a single date, several departments stall at once. A week later, half the team is back to keeping spreadsheets on the side. We steer exactly these points actively.
Our process
Five phases, each with a result.
- 01Setup Check
Assess fit, sequence and risks. You get a clear go/no-go basis.
- 02Concept & roadmap
Modules, customizations, migration plan, realistic stages.
- 03Build & configure
Set up, adapt, test with real data.
- 04Migration & go-live
A controlled switch, not a leap in the dark.
- 05Stabilize
Refine, automate, expand where it pays.
What the implementation covers.
Six work streams running in parallel. The standard stays untouched as far as possible, so updates keep going through.
Process discovery
How you actually work today across sales, purchasing, inventory, production and finance.
Configuration
We set up the modules you need, cleanly configured to your workflows rather than overloaded.
Data migration
Master data, stock and open items checked, cleaned and transferred under control.
Training
Your team is involved and trained so the system actually gets used.
In the system
What your ERPNext looks like after go-live.
Recording from a configured ERPNext
What moves the project cost.
A fixed price comes only after the Setup Check. What drives the effort can be named up front.
| Cost driver | Effect on effort |
|---|---|
| Number of areas rolled out | More areas means more configuration and more testing |
| Data volume and data quality | The messier the legacy data, the higher the migration effort |
| Integrationen und Schnittstellen | Jede Anbindung erhöht Abstimmung und Test |
| Tiefe individueller Anpassungen | Nah am Standard ist günstiger als viel Custom |
In the Setup Check we narrow these drivers down for your case. A transparent, fixed-scope proposal builds on that.
When the rollout holds. And when it does not.
Holds
- You want to connect several areas in one system.
- You are outgrowing disconnected tools and spreadsheets.
- Someone in-house will own the project internally.
Does not hold
- You only need a single specialized solution.
- Everything is supposed to switch over on one date.
- Nobody has time to clarify the processes first.
If ERPNext does not fit, we say so before any budget is spent.
Frequently asked questions about the rollout.
How does an ERP rollout work?
An ERP rollout runs in phases, not as a big bang. First a Setup Check clarifies fit, sequence and risks. Then a concept is built with modules, customizations and a migration plan. In the build the system is configured and tested with real data. At the controlled go-live the first areas go into production, followed by stabilization and expansion.
How long does an ERPNext implementation take?
It depends on scope and data. The phased approach makes the first areas usable early, instead of putting everything on one big date.
Do we have to roll out all modules at once?
No. We recommend starting with the core areas and expanding step by step. That lowers risk and cost.
Can existing data be transferred?
Usually yes. We clarify data quality and the migration path early. See ERPNext Migration.
Standard version or customizations?
As much standard as possible, as much customization as necessary. That keeps the system maintainable and upgradable.
Clarify the sequence before any budget is spent.
The Setup Check takes a real process from your business and shows how ERPNext carries it. No presentation, no licence conversation.
