Replacing NetSuite: assess the group requirements first.
NetSuite OneWorld supports multiple subsidiaries and consolidated reporting. If these workflows matter today, an alternative needs to demonstrate them using your actual group requirements. Multiple companies in one system alone do not prove equivalent consolidation.
Test a representative month-end close: subsidiary assignment, currencies, intercompany transactions and required reports. Business owners need to assess the output and effort; a general ERP demo is insufficient for this decision.
Compare your contract and quote with actual use. Clarify required modules, user roles, support, integrations and customisation. Existing NetSuite costs and terms depend on the contract; no universal price or cancellation period is assumed here.
ERPNext still incurs operating, implementation and support costs despite having no software licence fee per user. A switch also requires data validation, cutover planning and agreed responsibilities. Can ERPNext replace NetSuite?
Only if essential workflows are demonstrated in the target configuration. Check subsidiaries, consolidation, reporting, integrations and data migration. Similar module names or a lower licence fee do not establish a suitable replacement.
Do I save money with ERPNext?
Assess this using the current contract, target quote and validated switching scope. Removing user licence fees is one factor; hosting, support, data migration and cutover also belong in the calculation.
